Welcome

Welcome to Jorelle. These Terms govern your use of the Jorelle audio drama platform (the "Service") operated by Jorelle Media Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Jorelle. Some content is romantic or adult in tone. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything that happens on your account. If you suspect your account is compromised, email support@getjorelle.com immediately.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or that show signs of fraudulent activity.

Subscription and billing

• Free trial. New accounts start with a 7-day free trial of the full catalogue. We collect your payment method at sign-up but you will not be charged during the trial. We email you a reminder two days before it ends. Cancel anytime during the trial from your account page and you will not be charged at all.
• Price. After the trial, the Jorelle subscription is £49.99 per year. Depending on your region at checkout, the equivalent price is $59.99 USD or €49.99 EUR. Your price is shown before you confirm and is billed annually in advance.
• Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account page. Cancellation stops future billing; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds. Apart from the cancellation rights described below, we do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods once you have passed the trial. If a subscription is charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will make it right.
• Free previews. Without a membership you can listen to the first episode of selected stories in full and to a 3-minute preview of the others, free of charge.
• Complimentary access. We may grant free membership to collaborators and others at our discretion. It can be withdrawn at any time and carries no right to a refund or renewal.
• Price changes. Prices may change. If we raise the price, we will email you at least 30 days before your renewal at the new price, so you can cancel first if you wish.

Your right to cancel (UK and EU)

UK and EU consumer law gives you 14 days to cancel a contract made online. That period is set by law and is separate from our free trial, which is 7 days. The shorter trial does not shorten your legal rights. In practice:

• Cancel at any point during the 7-day free trial and you are never charged.
• If your trial ends and you are charged, the statutory period may still be running. Email us and, provided you have not listened to subscriber-only content since that charge was taken, we will refund it in full.
• When you listen to subscriber-only content you are asking us to supply the service immediately. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations that ends the right to cancel the supply for a refund, which is why the point above depends on it.

If you believe a charge was made in error at any time, contact support@getjorelle.com and we will make it right.

Content licence

Every story, episode, audio track, cover image, and piece of written content on Jorelle is owned by Jorelle Media Ltd or licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to stream the content, and to download it for offline listening within the official Jorelle apps, for your own enjoyment while your subscription is active. You may not redistribute, share, screen-record, rip, or commercially use any of it, including our ebooks, and offline downloads stop being available if your subscription ends.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, resell, or distribute Jorelle audio, ebooks, or video.
• Attempt to circumvent the subscription paywall or extract audio outside the official apps and site.
• Scrape the site, automate access, or attack our infrastructure.
• Use Jorelle for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.

Availability

Jorelle is provided as-is, on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee continuous availability, perfect audio quality, or that the service will be free of bugs. We are a small team trying our best.

Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under English law (for example, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be emailed to you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Jorelle after that means you accept the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be resolved by the courts of England and Wales.
