Jorelle was built around a simple belief: stories should feel human because they are human. We do not use generative AI to write our stories, perform our characters, create our covers, compose our music or produce our sound design. Every Jorelle story begins with a writer and is brought to life by professional voice actors. The music, sound design, artwork and visual material used across Jorelle are created by people or sourced through properly licensed work. We want the people behind the stories to matter. Their voices, choices, imperfections and imagination are part of what makes storytelling worth listening to. As technology changes, that principle will not.
Why we built this
Romantasy found us the way it found everyone: a friend's recommendation, a video at midnight, a book we didn't put down. Somewhere along the way it stopped being something we read and became something we belonged to. Jorelle started with a simple question: what if the character spoke to you? Not a narrator telling you what happened, but the prince, the assassin, confessing it to you directly. One voice, close to your ear. Music underneath, a room you can hear, and the silence before someone says the thing they shouldn't.
That's what we make. Short audio confessions, written and performed by people who love these worlds as much as you do.

Who's behind it
Jorelle is built by a small team based in London. We write, produce, and obsess over every line. We work with romance writers, voice actors, and sound designers who love the genre as much as we do.
